Does the Hydro Flask sport cap leak?

I thought this would be perfect for my hydro flask bottle, much easier and quicker to get a drink with than unscrewing the cap from the hydro flask bottle. However,from the very first use this cap leaked . It won’t leak if it is standing up but if you lay it on its side it will leak from a small vent hole in the top.
