Sadly no. Airlines do not provide CARES harnesses… but I hope they do one day! Is the CARES harness safe? The CARES harness is FAA-tested and approved to provide a safer fit on airplanes for kids 22-40 pounds and under 40″ who can sit up well on their own.
How does the cares harness work?
It’s made of seat belt material and a few buckles that work in a manner similar to a five point harness in a car seat. To install it, you have to lower the tray table of the seat behind you, loop it over the seat, and tighten. The airplane seat belt loops through the harness and works as part of the system.

How do you fly with a 3 year old?

- Take plenty of snacks, hangry isn’t good on a plane.
- Take some bribes for those moments when boredom sets in.
- Pick a good airline, it’s worth paying extra for decent service.
- Having a child kick the back of your seat is annoying, don’t let your child be the one doing it.
