How many spells can a 1st level cleric prepare?

So you can prepare your Cleric Level + Wisdom Modifier. So you would be able to prepare 4 level 1 spells. Bless and Cure Wounds are always prepared as a Life Cleric, so they do not count towards the total. So you would pick 4 other spells from the Cleric list to have prepared, for a grand total of 6 at 1st level.

How do you teach cleric spells 5E?

A cleric doesn’t learn any spells mechanically, but they do prepare them, which means they do not have to learn them as they gain levels. At 1st level, you have a spellbook containing six 1st-level wizard spells of your choice. spells can include six spells of 1st or 2nd level, in any combination, chosen from your spellbook. If you prepare the 1st-level spell magic missile, you can cast it using a 1st-level or a 2nd-level slot.

Are cantrips permanent?

Nope. When you’re preparing your spells after a long rest, you’re preparing things for which you have spell slots.

Can Wizards copy cantrips?

No, the number of cantrips known by a wizard is fixed, accordingly to the Wizard table. Check the “Your Spellbook” section on the Wizard class – it states (I added the red colour to the relevant words): Copying a Spell into the Book.
