Why is Kanon called Kanon?

They named the series kanon because in music a kanon(canon) is a song that just has a harmony and life would be great if we just had good moments! They explain it in the anime!

Is Kanon worth watching?

Kanon is good but I wouldn’t say it’s better than Clannad and if you can’t get through Clannad you probably won’t be able to make it through Kanon.

Is Kanon 2006 a sequel?

There are two anime adaptations of Kanon, one from 2002 by Toei Animation with 13 episodes (plus one OVA), and one from 2006 by Kyoto Animation with 24 episodes. Both of them are based on the 1999 visual novel by Key. The most obvious difference between the two is the artwork.

Yuichi ends up confessing to Nayuki, saying that he does not see her as a cousin, but as a very important girl. However, Nayuki is deeply upset by the sudden confession as she questions him on why he did not come to meet her seven years ago. Later on, Nayuki is able to accept Yuichi’s confession.
